Position Description
Critical Care Nurse Practitioner – | Full Time Nights
Location: Atlanta Area
Schedule: 12 hour night shifts, Tuesday through Sunday every other week (6 required shifts plus optional 7th night for additional pay)

About the Role:
We’re seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to work under the direct supervision of an Intensivist and deliver high acuity care to patients.
This role also supports coordination of services within the department’s NP team.
What You’ll Do:
• Provide full scope care including assessments, therapeutic planning, documentation, and discharge planning
• Manage treatment related toxicities and perform symptom control
• Educate patients on medications, procedures, and self management techniques
• Facilitate care planning conversations and end of life decision making
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure safe and timely interventions
• Participate in rounding and progress note documentation
• Prescribe medications (Category III and above) and manage orders under MD supervision during on call hours
• Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and documentation standards
What You Bring:
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (Acute Care or related specialty)
• Georgia RN and APRN licenses required
• Board certification via ANCC or AANP
• BLS and ACLS (AHA preferred, or obtained within 30 days)
• ONS and AOCNP certifications are a plus
• Strong critical thinking, autonomy, and communication skills
Schedule:
• 12 hour night shifts
• Tuesday through Sunday every other week (6 shifts)
• Optional 7th night (Monday) for overtime or call coverage
