Base Salary Range*: $128,000 to $168,000

Position Summary

MemorialCare Medical Group is looking for an experienced, certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Cardiology practice in Long Beach, California. The NP-Cardiology will have job duties and responsibilities primarily in the inpatient setting but will have responsibilities in the outpatient settings as well. In this full-time role, you’ll work under the supervision of MCMG Cardiology Medical Director(s).

Essential Functions And Responsibilities Of The Job

• In the inpatient environment, primary responsibilities include providing consultations, follow up, and discharge care under direct supervision of the cardiologists.
• In the outpatient environment, primary responsibilities include new patient visits, follow up, and stress testing.
• Employed position with MemorialCare Medical Group
• Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday through Friday

Qualifications

• Two or more years of full-time work experience as a certified Nurse Practitioner managing cardiology patients in an inpatient setting is preferred
• May work across care settings to follow patients
• Current certification from an agency accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC)
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California.
• Current furnishing license to furnish medications in the State of California
• Current DEA
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
