Position Description
We are actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing practice. This role offers the unique opportunity to work in an environment where patient care comes first, with the ability to spend the time needed to truly connect with your patients. You’ll manage a smaller patient load, ensuring high-quality, personalized care, and the chance to make a tangible impact on the health and wellbeing of men and women in our community.
As our Nurse Practitioner, you will:
- Provide comprehensive healthcare services, specializing in women’s health.
- Conduct in-depth consultations and provide ongoing care to patients.
- Work with patients to create individualized treatment plans.
- Enjoy up to 60-minute appointment times to foster meaningful relationships and better outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of a welcoming and supportive practice culture.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in women’s health to offer the best possible care (if desired)

What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for women's health and a genuine desire to make a difference (if desired)
- Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Alaska (or the ability to obtain licensure).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop trusting relationships with patients.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a small team.
- Experience in women’s health, or an eagerness to learn and grow in this area.

Abilities
- Ability to make responsible decisions within scope of APP practice.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians on complicated cases.
- Ability to educate patients, families, and staff in user-friendly manner.
- Ability to demonstrate eye–hand coordination, full range of motion, and manual dexterity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Demands
Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting. High level of responsibility and heavy workload can generate stress.
Equipment Operated
Medical instruments required for physical exams, procedures, and computer hardware/software.
Work Environment
Medical office and exam room settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, and other conditions common to a clinical environment. Frequent contact with people.
Education / Experience / Licenses / Certifications
Required
- Master’s degree and successful completion of accredited Program (Nurse Practitioner) program.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner, State NP license, and recertification required.
- CPR certification
Position Type & Expected Work Hours
This is a full-time position. Work hours will be determined based on individual employment agreement.
