An established healthcare facility in Middlesex County, New Jersey is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide night-time coverage for their stroke and general neurology service line.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: Flexible
• Hours: 6pm to 7:30am (flexible scheduling available)
• Setting: Trauma Level 1

• Respond promptly to stroke codes and perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and related assessments
• Conduct thorough neurological evaluations for assigned patients, including consults from other services
• Manage a patient load of approximately 10-15 patients per night, including both primary and consult patients
• Work closely with Neurology residents and receive support from attending physicians available by phone
• Utilize Epic for all EMR documentation
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Active, unrestricted NJ Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience in Neurology or Inpatient Care
