Position Description

We are seeking a Cardiology Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, starting Dec 1, 2025. This position offers three 12-hour shifts per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing patients in a critical care cardiac ICU setting.

- Provider Type Needed: Cardiology Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (includes nights, weekends, and holidays; must be flexible regarding days worked); 13-hour shifts with a 1-hour unpaid lunch; no guaranteed hours

Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage HVI CCU patients under the guidance of the Intensivist
- Conduct daily rounding, patient management, and order entry
- Admit patients and provide post-operative management
- Perform procedures such as arterial line placement, central line placement, swan ganz catheter insertion, and IABP removal
- Manage patients with VA and VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant cases

Additional Information
- Must have active PA license
- Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Required board certification: Critical Care Medicine
- Experience in a critical care cardiac ICU unit with advanced device management is essential
- Flexibility in scheduling is required
