Part-Time Nurse Practitioner — Wound Care (Illinois Licensed)

Location: Cook & Will County, Illinois

Practice: American Surgeons Group — Wound Care Division

Hours: Part-time (approx. 4–8 hours per week; potential to increase with patient volume)

About the Role

American Surgeons Group is seeking a Fully licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Illinois to join our growing wound care team. This role involves providing comprehensive wound care management in a professional clinical environment, with flexibility and room for future growth as patient volume increases. The ideal candidate is experienced in wound assessment, treatment, and documentation, with a strong interest in patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds on all areas of the body.
• Perform wound debridement, dressing selection, and care planning per evidence-based guidelines.
• Document findings and treatment plans accurately in EMR.
• Collaborate with supervising physician(s) as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention and care.
• Participate in clinic quality improvement and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Nurse Practitioner License.
• Full practice authority preferred (or eligible under Illinois FPA standards).
• Experience in wound care strongly preferred.
• Valid NPI and DEA (if applicable).
• Professional, compassionate, and organized approach to patient care.

Schedule & Compensation

Part-time: 4–8 hours per week initially.
Flexible schedule, with opportunities for additional hours as clinic volume grows.
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
Malpractice coverage NOT provided.
