Job Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner – Wound Care Specialist

Employer: West Suburban Wound Care LLC  

Location: North Chicago, South Chicago, Northwest Suburbs, Southwest Suburbs, Peoria, Rockford, Bourbonnais Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time  

Compensation: $140–$160 per visit, for advanced care $160-$200 per visit - Mileage reimbursement  - Malpractice insurance provided  - Flexible scheduling options  

Additional Benefits: Mileage reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage

Position Overview- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing team of wound care specialists. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously in a supportive environment while making a meaningful impact on patients with chronic and complex wounds.

Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans  - Administer advanced wound care therapies, including debridement and application of substitute skin grafts (SSG)  - Track healing progress and adjust care plans as needed  - Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention and management  - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams  - Document all care accurately and promptly in EMR systems

Qualifications- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois  - Wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to obtain  - Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in wound care or a related field preferred  - Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills  - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities  - Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning  - Willingness to train and shadow certified providers if not yet certified
