Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate NP or PA to join our urgent care team. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The provider will evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and developing treatment plans. The NP/PA will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and will play a key role in patient education and follow up. Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
Education Required
BSN required; MSN required. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program.
Required Experience
Minimum three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of nurse practitioner experience. Computer skills and working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required
Current, unrestricted North Carolina or compact state registered nurse license. Current North Carolina license as an advanced registered nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority. BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a North Carolina license. However, the North Carolina nursing license will be a single state license for North Carolina Residents or non-compact state residents. North Carolina licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-North Carolina residents.
