Position Description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Oregon. This opportunity begins on Dec 1, 2025, with a 140-day assignment length, featuring a full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week and one week of call each month. The position primarily supports a Level III trauma center as first assist, with coverage responsibilities including both 10-hour shifts and 24-hour call.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as first assist in orthopedic surgical procedures at a Level III trauma center
- Participate in perioperative patient management, including pre-op and post-op care
- Respond to trauma and orthopedic emergencies as part of the call rotation
- Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Document patient encounters and clinical data in Epic EMR

Additional Information
- Active Nurse Practitioner license required in Oregon
- Required board certification: Orthopaedic Surgery
- Experience in trauma and orthopedic surgery settings preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
