This medical center is a community hospital providing comprehensive cardiac thoracic services. The facility features a dedicated cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) and corresponding clinic, offering advanced cardiac and vascular procedures to meet the healthcare needs of the surrounding population.

Job Details:
• Full-time position with variable call weekly and weekends • MUST have experience with atrial vein harvesting - this is critically important • Provide cardiac thoracic services in a community hospital and corresponding clinic • Need independent skills for CVOR and vascular surgery • Must be proficient with endoscopic and vessel harvesting including radial • Perform CABG EVH and open vessel harvesting, TAVR, TACR, Vascular surgery, and ECMO procedures • Assist with patient positioning, skin prep and draping during surgical procedures • Provide wound exposure, closure and dressing application • Independently make surgical incisions and closures for endoscopic or open vessel harvesting • Administer local anesthetic when making surgical incisions • Rotate call coverage for invasive and surgical procedures • Assist with invasive procedures in Cath Lab and at bedside • Perform therapeutic procedures including wound care, venipuncture, venous cutdowns, insertion of central venous pressure lines, intubation, and more • Assist with preoperative care and workup of patients • Participate in postoperative care, informing surgeons of pertinent changes in patient condition • Handle approximately 5 patient encounters per shift • Must be licensed in Pennsylvania (IMLC not accepted) • BLS certification required • Credentialing timeframe is 60-120 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
