Description
- Provide specialized care to patients with various wound conditions, utilizing your skills and knowledge to improve their quality of life.
- Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop complex wound care treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about wound care procedures and recovery expectations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Document patient progress, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
- Provide post-treatment follow-up care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
- Conduct or contribute to wound care and related research to improve patient outcomes.
- Offer training and support to nursing staff and other healthcare providers on wound care and vascular procedures.
- Stay updated with continuous education in wound care advancements.
- Evaluate and manage potential complications arising from wound conditions.
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Experience in wound care is required
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Virginia state license
- Advanced certification in wound care (e.g., CWCN, CWS, or equivalent).
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience working in a wound care clinic.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent patient communication and education capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Clinical research experience in wound care .
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification (e.g., FNP, ANP, or AGNP).
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in wound care and management.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy principles and practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and medical equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
