Position Description
A leading pediatric care facility is seeking a licensed Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their Night shift team. In this role, the qualified professional will provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric residents while supporting nursing staff overnight in a long-term care setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Setting: Long-Term Care
Responsibilities:
- Performing clinical assessments for acute illness or change in status
- Providing chronic and emergency medical care
- Ordering and ensuring proper medication administration
- Assisting Employee Health with staff care needs
- Reviewing abnormal lab results and determining treatment plans
- Coordinating hospital transfers and communicating with external providers
- Completing thorough documentation in the electronic medical record
- Conducting patient rounds and providing shift hand-offs
- Supporting and educating nursing staff
- Interfacing with families, providers, and administrators
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with the Pediatric
- BSN and MSN
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Board Certification
- NYS licensed Registered Nurse (RN) & Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- BCLS certification
- DEA certification
- Commitment to compassionate, family-centered care
- Strong assessment and documentation skills

PALS certification
