Come work with a great team! Signet Health manages the Behavioral Health Services for Medstar Washington Hospital Center and has a Full-time opening for an Acute or Acute Adult-Geri Nurse Practitioner.

The Acute or Acute Adult-Geri Nurse Practitioner will perform H&P’s on newly admitted patients on behavioral health inpatient units and will follow through on other medical illnesses.

Essential Functions

• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, as needed
• Participates in agency-wide training programs and in-services
• Provides quality and timely clinical documentation, per Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies’ requirements
• Proficiency in interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Experience and skill in treating patients with various types and presentations of psychiatric/behavioral health disorders
  
  

Must have at least 3 years prior nursing experience and a Psych background is preferred. Must have a Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree as an Acute or Acute Adult-Geri Nurse Practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) (formerly NLNAC | National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission). Eligible for Acute or Acute Adult Geri Nurse Practitioner certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display excellent oral/written communication skills. Previous adult behavioral health and substance use treatment experience is preferred.

Salary Range

$115,000 to $143,619 Annually
