Overview:

The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner works closely with practice physicians to manage the health of nephrology and endocrinology patients. The incumbent must be board-certified and a licensed independent practitioner, responsible for comprehensive management of patient care in accordance with State and Federal regulations and general standards of care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient health status and developing differential diagnoses
• Creating and implementing individualized care and treatment plans
• Educating patients and promoting compliance with care recommendations
• Managing EHR documentation and ensuring high-quality record keeping
• Providing leadership and supporting care coordination within the team

As allowed by Pennsylvania scope of practice regulations, responsibilities may include:

• Dialysis rounding
• Supporting or holding a chronic kidney disease clinic
• Hospital rounding
• On-call coverage as required

Schedule:

• Typically Monday through Friday
• May include weekend call coverage as needed for patient care

What You’ll Bring:

✅ Bachelor’s Degree and completion of an accredited PA or NP program

✅ National Certification (NCCPA or AANPCB)

✅ Active Pennsylvania license (PA or NP)

✅ DEA license

✅ Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in a hospital, medical office, or similar setting

✅ Strong clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
