Board Certified - Physician Assistant in Cardiac Surgery

Job Details:
• Work with a team of 3 surgeons and 3 other PAs in a collaborative cardiac surgery environment • Primary responsibility is first assisting in cardiac surgery OR with 1-2 OR cases per day • Perform endoscopic vein harvesting using Vasoview/Maquet equipment • Manage adult cardiac surgery cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, and aortic procedures • May also provide floor and ICU coverage with patient rounding depending on candidate qualifications • Full-time position (4 weeks/month) with M-F 8a-4p schedule, starting January 29th • Call requirements include one weeknight per month (6p-6a) and possible weekend rounding • Weekend call involves completing inpatient rounds followed by off-campus availability • Secondary call support to in-house residents who handle primary patient calls • On-call availability for emergency OR cases when required • Work with Cerner EMR system in a well-supported environment • Must be NCCPA certified with active ACLS and DEA • Active Washington state license highly preferred or ability to obtain by start date • Credentialing timeframe approximately 3 months
