Nurse Practitioner Pain Treatment Service
Key Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to provide care to children, adolescents and adults with procedural pain AND chronic pain conditions.
- Accountability for care of patients including phone triage for patients going home with nerve catheters after surgery.
- Accountability for care of patients with chronic before and after injections for chronic pain.
- Working 10-hour days Monday through Fridays. Availability to hire for 25 or 30 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree in nursing
- 3-5 years’ experience in a pediatric setting, ideally with a pediatric intensive care background
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Meticulous attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication skills, and superb collaborative skills
- A current MA NP license: Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
- BLS and PALS certification
