This inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role is focused on optimizing care delivery and reducing length of stay for orthopaedic patients, primarily covering post-operative joint replacement, spine, and complex non-elective cases. The APP will work closely with the resident and attending orthopaedic surgeons. The APP will also work with case management to coordinate timely discharges and ensure follow-up care is in place. A key component of the role includes being a reliable clinical presence, especially for those patients with transition-of-care needs from the inpatient and outpatient sides.

Treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area under the direction of the licensed physician. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician.

Education

Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)

Masters Degree : Nursing (Required)

Experience

1 Year experience in a clinical specialty practice (Preferred)

2 Years Experience As a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)

License/Certifications

CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required)

RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)

PRX-AUTH - Prescriptive Authority (Preferred)

The schedule is weekday-based, with no call, nights, or weekends.
