Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology

Job Details:
• GI Hybrid NP/PA position with 60% clinic and 40% hospital responsibilities • Provide care for patients with chronic GI conditions • Educate patients on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications • Document patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans in EMR • Conduct initial assessments, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations for hospitalist GI patients • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians • Monitor and manage acute GI conditions and provide pre- and post-procedure care • Coordinate care transitions between hospital and clinic settings • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 am-5 pm (varying start/end times) • Weekend coverage: 1:6 weekend rotation with 2 weekdays off after a weekend of call • Clinic: 36 patient contact hours/week • Hospital: 40 patient contact hours/week • Requires Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota required (Wisconsin license needed within 3 months) • Current certification in CPR and national certification in applicable area • Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish positive relationships
