Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Job Details:
• Locum assignment from 2/1/26-5/1/26 to cover paternity leave • Monday through Friday schedule (0700-1700) • Primary responsibilities include operating room duties with some ICU/floor coverage • Perform chest tube insertions • Assist with retrieval of vascular tissues for use as bypass conduits • Serve as OR 1st assistant for cardiovascular procedures • On-call responsibilities 1-2 evenings per week, operating call from home (1/week ratio) • Work under supervision of Dr. Charles Lutz with adult patient population • Must have cardiac surgery operating experience including 1st assist and vein harvest • Robotic experience is a plus • Must maintain active NY State License with NCCPA certification • BLS and ACLS certification required • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 1 month • Facility will reimburse for hotel, flight, and rental car expenses • Epic EMR system used for documentation
