The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to well and ill pediatric patients in the clinic settings.  The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner educates patients and/or their families in order to promote wellness, prevent health problems, maintain current health and intervene in acute illness.  The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner seeks opportunities for professional growth through participation in continuing education, staff development and hospital committees. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner functions as an integral part of the Medical Clinic Team.
