Physician Assistant (PA) - Neuro - Trauma/Critical Care

Job Details:
• Provide Neurosurgery/Trauma ICU management of emergency surgery patients undergoing brain, neck, and spine surgeries • Manage 15-20 patients on service per day in a Level II Trauma Center • Work 10-hour day shifts (7a-5p) with no call requirements • Perform low/moderate risk procedures including laceration repair, IV access/peripheral line insertion, and fracture/dislocation reductions • Handle high-risk procedures such as G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, and central/arterial line placement • Experience with Cerner Care B EMR system required • Multiple assignment periods available from January through June with ongoing opportunities • Must have neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care background/experience • Current NCCPA certification required • Active state license necessary with clean malpractice history • ACLS certification required (ATLS preferred but not required) • Must be on active staff at a TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges • Credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days from receipt of completed application
