Physician & Clinician - NP/PA

Job Details:
• Join a busy, established complex surgery team consisting of 5 Advanced Practitioners and 7 Physicians • Support General Surgeons in the operation room as Surgical Assistant • Provide pre-op and post-op patient education • Coordinate diagnostic studies, consultations, procedures, and communications • Manage post-op care of patients including daily rounds, discharge, patient/family education, and follow-up clinic visits • Participate in evening and weekend call rotation • Support the entire General Surgery physician team • Utilize advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills • Work both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals • Provide health care to individuals and families with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention • Demonstrate high level of customer service skills to establish positive relationships with patients and co-workers • NPs require current RN and NP licensure in Minnesota with national certification in applicable area • PAs require current PA licensure in Minnesota with national certification • Current CPR certification required • Successfully complete credentialing process prior to practice • May be eligible for additional compensation in form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation
