TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to provide locum coverage in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) located in Greenville, North Carolina. Coverage Dates: January 2026 – July 2026
Schedule:
Day: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Night: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Rotating days, nights, and weekends
Coverage includes 84 hours every two weeks (12-hour shifts)

Setting: 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Team Structure: 5 Intensivists and 6 Advanced Practice Providers
Technology: Epic EMR

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and therapies (DEA license required)
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams
Participate in patient education, documentation, and follow-up care
Procedures may include:
Arterial and central venous line placement
Dialysis catheter insertion
Chest tube insertion and removal
Thoracentesis
Intra-aortic balloon pump removal
Transvenous pacer and Swan-Ganz placement
Bronchoscopy
Pacing wire removal
Feeding tube placement

Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; cardiovascular ICU experience strongly preferred
Certification: BLS and ACLS required
Licensure: Active North Carolina license (PA or ACNP)
DEA License: Required
Credentialing: Must meet facility privileging requirements prior to start
