- Onboarding: Comprehensive orientation provided
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,870–$4,150
Qualifications – Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care, Surgical Oncology)
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Minnesota (MN) – required for immediate start
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care, surgical oncology, or related clinical specialty
- Proven experience in both inpatient and outpatient care settings
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Fingerprinting required prior to credentialing and privileges (typically completed within 48 hours)
Primary Responsibilities – Surgical Oncology Nurse Practitioner
- Deliver comprehensive clinical care to surgical oncology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Coordinate pre- and post-surgical care with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams
- Assist in the operating room, including patient preparation, intraoperative support, and wound closure
- Perform procedures such as wound care, drain management, and drain removal
- Conduct patient assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret medical diagnostics in collaboration with attending physicians
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and medical equipment as needed
- Educate patients and families on chronic illness management, surgical recovery, and wellness care
- Serve as a resource and consultant to clinical staff and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Promote effective communication and contribute to program development within the care team
