Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:
• Coverage at multiple locations including Mercy St. Vincent, Mercy St. Anne, Mercy St. Charles, and Mercy Perrysburg (privileges for ALL locations required) • Schedule consists of 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday with 10 days/month of call coverage (1:3 call ratio) • Initial commitment from January-April, then to be determined • Position covers office hours, inpatient post-op floor, and ICU care • Average of 12 patients per day • Work autonomously with supervising physician rounding daily and available 24/7 by phone • Utilize EPIC EMR system • Required duties include suture removal, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, writing prescriptions, coordination of care, rounding, and pre-op physical exams • Care primarily for adult and geriatric patients • Weekend requirement of 2 weekends per month • Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days if file is clean (expedited process available) • Must have active OH license, ANCC or AANP certification, BLS, ACLS, and relevant training/experience • 100% clean background check required - no exceptions
