Position Summary/ Department Summary
Nurse Practitioner, Surgical and Procedural Areas in both Ambulatory and Inpatient settings. **This is a permanent flex role where the provider will be covering known leave of absence in designated areas.**

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors. Nurse Practitioner, Surgical and Procedural Areas in both Ambulatory and Inpatient settings. **This is a permanent flex role where the provider will be covering known leave of absence in designated areas.**
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients within ambulatory and inpatient surgical and procedural areas
- Ordering and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic tests, inpatient rounds, performance of therapeutic procedures, consultation with other health care providers, coordination of care, referrals, prescription of medications, and follow up care including telephone updates, triage of complications and clinic visits on patients aged newborn to adult
- Coordination of admissions, discharges, and hospital transfers
- Working 36 hours per week; rotating days/evening/night/weekends dependent on role being covered; 8 to 12 hour shifts.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- 1-3 years of RN/NP acute (hospital) experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills required
- Candidates require flexibility in scheduling and ability to collaborate with various teams
- A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
