• Location: Los Angeles, CA 90095 (Westwood) – Southern California healthcare jobs
• Position Type: Locum tenens (travel contract)
• Facility: Teaching hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Specialty: Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Start Date: Flexible, ASAP
• Contract Duration: Up to 26 weeks (minimum 13 weeks, shorter contracts considered)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts per week (07:00 – 19:00), rotating weekends and holidays
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,090 – $6,520

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Current and active California Nurse Practitioner license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU setting
• Direct cardiac ICU experience as a Pediatric Cardiac ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is mandatory
• Adult-only APPs and Pediatric ICU APPs without cardiac experience will not be considered
• Ability to start within 7 weeks (credentialing period)

Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced clinical care to pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions in the ICU
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a high-acuity, academic hospital environment
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as part of the clinical support team
• Support the Pediatric Cardiac ICU during staff transitions and ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and pediatric critical care
