• Estimated Weekly Salary: $5040 - $5400
• Contract Length: 6 months, with option to extend
• Start Date: February 23, 2026
• Shifts: Variable 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00), including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Hours per Week: 36
• Minimum Coverage: At least 4 x 12-hour shifts per month, with 50% night or weekend coverage required
• Practice Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license (NP MUST have CA license)
• Board Certification: CPNP-AC (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care)
• DEA license with California Schedule 2 authority
• BLS and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) managing pediatric cardiovascular critical care
• Experience with ECMO, CRRT, and heart failure patient management preferred
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced pediatric and neonatal cardiovascular critical care in a high-acuity PCICU setting
• Manage pre- and post-operative cardiac surgical patients, including those on ECMO and with heart failure
• Perform and assist with clinical procedures: IVs, arterial lines, intubations, and central lines
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including attendings, fellows, and other nurse practitioners
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination
• Participate in variable scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and credentialing requirements
