Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Job Details

• Location: Fayetteville, NC (North Carolina urgent care jobs)
• Setting: Urgent Care Center
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Contract)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension

• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Patient Population: Adults and Pediatrics (ages 6 months and up)

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license (NP Boards) – North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care or acute care settings
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (training provided)
• Ability to work independently as sole provider
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to multiple urgent care locations within a 65-mile radius

Healthcare Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive urgent care services to adults and pediatric patients
• Perform minor procedures: I&D, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other acute care interventions
• Efficiently manage high patient volume (up to 60 patients per day)
• Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with Center Manager, Medical Assistant, and PSA for optimal patient care
• Participate in onboarding and EMR training before first solo shift
• Maintain high standards of patient care and professionalism
