The facility provides a collaborative environment with modern technology including electronic medical record systems for efficient patient care and documentation.

Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Orthopedic

Job Details:
• Collaborate with attending physicians to prepare and record patient history, develop care plans, participate in daily rounds, and document symptoms, findings, and diagnoses • Utilize electronic medical record for order entry and documentation • Participate in multidisciplinary rounding and quality/safety initiatives • Order or perform diagnostic studies including EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements, and various imaging studies (X-ray, CT, MRI, bone scans) • Perform procedures such as digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor outpatient surgical procedures • Conduct tendon repair, wound closure/management/debridement, incision and drainage, needle biopsy, percutaneous pinning of fractures, and hardware removal • Perform joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injections, and application of braces, casts and splints • Assist in surgery including first assist, tissue closures, and application of appliances • Serve as primary orthopedic call for Emergency Department and inpatient units • Participate in call coverage including weekdays, weekends and 24-hour call with rotation for holidays and nights • Evaluate clinical conditions, implement treatment plans, and dictate discharge summaries and documentation • Must be proficient with electronic health records • Must be able to work independently and perform effectively in stressful situations • Board Certification required • Must be available full-time • Must have active Oregon license • Must complete NPDB Self query at time of submission • Site requires 4 hours of unpaid EPIC training (2-hour testing out option available)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
