This is a government contractor facility helping our nation's Veterans by providing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The organization operates both their own facilities and works with providers who have their own offices to ensure veterans receive timely evaluations.

Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Job Details:
• Position available in Cookeville, TN (1.5 days per week needed - FIVE MILE RADIUS PREFERRED) • Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments • PRN basis, ongoing opportunity • Flexible scheduling with options to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing • No prescribing or treatment duties required • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Eligible specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or background in general medicine • Must have experience with compensation and pension examinations • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Must have AANP certification • Must maintain active and unrestricted Tennessee license • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams • Local candidates only, travel included in rates

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
