Physician & Clinician - NP/PA

Job Details:
• 0.9 FTE position in Emergency Medicine • Schedule: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM shifts • Manage minor emergency department patients of all ages in a 40-bed emergency department • Provide medical procedures including wound repair, suturing and splinting • Conduct medical evaluations and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory and x-rays • Provide patient education, counseling and referrals as clinically warranted • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals in an adult and pediatric hospitalist supported practice • Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with the region's only PICU and Level III NICU • Position requires Emergency Medicine APP experience or completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency/Fellowship • Education or experience in laceration repair, pediatric populations, x-ray interpretation, and splinting is desired • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant from an accredited program required • Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota & Wisconsin and current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota & Wisconsin • Current certification in CPR, ATLS, CALS, ACLS required • National certification in applicable area required • Successful completion of credentialing process prior to practice • Primary location in Duluth with potential outreach to Virginia, MN and Superior, WI
