This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility that provides comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic surgical services to the community. The facility features a Level 2 trauma designation with modern OR capabilities and utilizes Epic EMR system for streamlined documentation and patient care coordination.

Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiothoracic

Job Details:
• Coverage dates: July 18-25 and December 25
• Monday-Friday 8am-4pm schedule with evening and weekend call responsibilities
• Call ratio approximately 7-10 days per month with call back needs
• Work setting includes OR, clinic, and inpatient rounds
• Work autonomously with supervising physician present in OR and clinic
• Must have experience in OR with open heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, and thoracic surgeries
• Perform suture removal, pre-op physical exams, and order diagnostic tests
• Assist in surgery and write prescriptions as needed
• Conduct patient rounding and perform chest tube insertions
• Perform thoracentesis procedures
• Adult patient demographic focus
• Active Ohio license required (will accept providers needing to obtain state license)
• NCCPA certification, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Self-Query NPDB report mandatory within 30 days of presentation
• Credentialing timeframe 90-120 days
• Facility provides flight and hotel reimbursement

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
