Locum Tenens Family Health Nurse Practitioner - Newark, NJ

Seeking a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner to cover a maternity leave.

Job Details

• Location: Newark, NJ
• Healthcare Setting: Student Health Office
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (4-month assignment)
• Start Date: End of March 2026
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with 30-minute lunch
• Patient Population: 18-35 years old

Requirements

• Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner
• Active and unrestricted NJ NP license
• Must be comfortable with GYN care, LGBT care, and basic mental health care in addition to primary care
• ACLS BLS, active DEA

Key Responsibilities

• Candidate must feel comfortable triaging own patients when necessary
• Occasional front desk work of answering phones and scheduling/checking in patients when we are short staffed
• Must be comfortable with GYN care, LGBT care, and basic mental health care in addition to primary care
