TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Physician Assistant to join a Peds Practice clinic serving the community in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, a supportive team environment, and the possibility for a long-term transition to permanent placement.

Position Details
Job Type: Locum Tenens or Locum-to-Permanent
Specialty: Internal Medicine-Pediatrics
Setting: Outpatient only

Schedule:
Monday -Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
1-hour lunch break
Coverage: 5 days per week preferred, (open to 3–4 consecutive days)
Length of Assignment: 3-month intervals, with potential for extension or permanent placement
Volume: 16–18 patients per day
Support Staff: Yes, fully staffed team on site
Call: Very light after-hours telephonic call; RN triage team handles all initial calls
Weekends & Holidays: Closed

Requirements
Active North Carolina medical license
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Minimum 2 years of experience in Internal Med-Peds
Comfortable managing care for pediatric patients
Ability to meet quality metrics for preventive and chronic disease management
Willingness to interview with leadership and provide 3 professional references
Acceptable NPDB query required

Credentialing Time Frame: fast turn around
Will the Provider be Credentialed with Major Payors/Insurance Carriers? Yes
Prior Enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid Required: No
