We continue with our Parent Support groups for the winter months. Attached are our Family Alliance Monthly Flier and our Family Alliance Monthly Flier translated into Spanish. You can also look on the Family Alliance website at www.familyallianceformentalhealth.com to view the calendar of events and all up to date information.

Information that is on the fliers (attached) are included in the body of the email for those unable to open attachments.

New Monthly Support Group meeting flier; attached and in the body of this email.

Starting January 19, 2016 and continuing every 3rd Tuesday of month until May 17, 2016, we will begin SELF CARE series. Parents sharing with Parents. Topics include; Yoga, Hobbies, Pamper Yourself, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (W.R.A.P.), Summer Fun Resources. Flier is attached and also below in the body of this email. Pizza, Water, Coffee provided. Free childcare provided.

Family Alliance Planners Meeting – Every 3rd Monday of the month. 10am to noon. All Parents of Family Alliance for Mental Health are welcome!!!

Family Alliance for Mental Health Presents:

Self-Care Series
January 19 – Yoga – NO Experience Necessary!!! This will be a gentle, restorative, relaxing yoga class for everyone. You can bring your own mat or if you do not have a mat, one will be supplied. Led by Kate, one of our Family Alliance volunteer parents.

February 16 – Hobbies – NO Experience Necessary!!! Parents sharing with parents. Bring your favorite hobby to share with other parents.

March 15 – Pamper Yourself – Parents sharing with parents. Share your favorite things, places, events you use to pamper yourself during the winter/spring months with other parents.

April 19 – Wellness Recovery Action Plan, W.R.A.P – an introduction to creating your own Wellness Recovery Action Plan.

May 17 – Summer Self-Care/Celebration – Parents sharing with parents. Share your favorite things, places, events you use for summer fun self-care. We will celebrate the ending of the winter months & celebrate our self-care.

Our goal is to empower Dads/Male Caregivers of children and youth that struggle with social, emotional, behavioral challenges and mental health needs.

We assist and support one another while we connect with Dads that face similar challenges, Identify strengths and strategies that work, Share resources, Information and Training Opportunities& Take steps to move forward to find a better tomorrow.

Please join us on the 1st Wed. of the month from 6:30PM—8:00PM @ Ship-wreck Café, 244 Madrona Beach Rd. NW in Olympia. Dessert/Coffee provided.
