HB 977, the Mental Health Workforce Bill, passed out of the house and is on its way to the Governor's desk for final signature and passage into law. 

This bill allows Psychiatric NPs to prescribe psychotropic controlled substances to patients of all ages and authorizes them to be the second signature on involuntary admission to a psychiatric facility. 

If any other controlled substance prescribing language passes tomorrow and goes to the Governor, it becomes law and takes the place of what passed today in prescribing.
