As you all may have read postings from various NP organizations thoughout Florida, the Barbara Lumplin Controlled Substance Prescribing Act  HB 423, was signed into law by Govenor Rick Scott today.  We still have a ways to go and a joint committee will be determining "the Formulary" that NPs and PAs can use once agreed upon, but this is a major accomplishment and FL-GAPNA would like to add their thanks to Senator Grimsley and Representative Pigman.  We also want to acknowledge the relentless effort some of our NP and I am sure PA groups and Lobbyists, made over the past 20 years to get the support needed for this legislation's approval and signature by Govenor Scott.
