Some of us were able to attend the APRN day at the Texas Capitol hosted by the APRN Alliance.  http://www.texasnp.org/?page=APRNAlliance   The topics covered included: 

•    The APRN Alliance Legislative agenda and grassroots 101

•    A legislator panel with Representatives Klick and Gonzales, and Senator Rodriguez’s chief of staff, Sushma Smith.  The panel was moderated by Emily Ramshaw of the Texas Standard

•    A keynote address was presented by Ross Ramsey of the Texas Tribune

 

Many of us were able to visit with our respective legislators.   My visits included meeting with the legislative aides for Senator Charles Schwertner and Representative Terry Wilson.   I encourage you all to follow the legislative updates as things change daily for this current session.   Attached are the handouts that were given to the legislators.
