Dear Utah Nurse Practitioners,

On behalf of the Utah Nurse Practitioner Assoc., I would like to invite you to participate in filling out a survey we have created to identify and articulate experiences you or your patients have faced due to Step Therapy, or "fail first", methods of prescribing. Step therapy, as you know, is the incidence of insurance companies deciding which medications they will cover; despite what was originally prescribed to the patient.

Responses to this survey will be presented to the Utah State Legislature's Health and Human Services Interim Committee on September 20, 2017 in the hope that it will raise awareness of these practices and ultimately result in legislation that limits the practice in Utah.
