Attached is the survey results and presentation.
Thank you for participating in this survey. The data collected was presented to members of the Utah Health & Human Services Interim Committee on September 20th, 2017. Step Therapy is a burden to providers, because these protocols often are utilized by insurers to promote cost saving measures, instead of providing evidence based practice.
HB266 brings control back to the provider. HB266 never passed during the 2017 General Session largely because it came so late in the legislative season. However, it is intended to be brought forth again during the 2018 General Session. No official word yet, but this is one you definetly want to keep your eyes on.
