Each year our chapter elects individuals and organizations that we want to recognize for their positive contribution to children's lives in our communities and also for their support of our profession. The awards are presented each year at our "NP Night Out" event, which will be on April 26th, 2018.

See below for a description of the four award catergories. Chapter members please send your award nominations to alison.conley@gmail.com by February, 26th, 2018.

Pioneer of the Year:
Awarded to the nominee who has contributed to the expansion or improvement of pediatric health care and the advancement of the profession of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners at the local and national level.

Fellow of the Year:
Awarded to the nominee who has promoted the development of the pediatric nurse practitioner role and/or promotes the health care of children. Impact of the contribution should be felt on the local or regional level where the nominee has had the most input.

Friend of Children:
Awarded to the nominee who has contributed to the betterment of children at the local, national, or global level. Does not have to be a health care provider.

Physician of the Year:
Awarded to the nominee who has contributed to the expansion and improvement of pediatric health care and the advancement of the profession of the pediatric nurse practitioner at the local or state level.
