Florida is now a Compact state

Fort Lauderdale, FL
The South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses

As of January 19, 2018 Florida became a Compact state which means you can cross over state lines to practice as a registered nurse in another state that is also in the Compact. You may now apply for a new Florida RN Compact license so you will be able to do this. This DOES NOT apply to Advanced Practice Nurses. This only affects your RN license. ARNPs are not considered part of the compact.
