This past week, the House passed HB 1471, the bill that creates insurance parity for telemedicine (it requires insurance companies to reimburse the same for telemedicine services as they would reimburse if the care were delivered in the office). The bill now goes to the House Commerce Committee. The House also sent to interim study HB 1811, the House bill dealing with Medicaid expansion. The main bill on that front, however, will be a Senate bill that is not yet published.

We were informed this week that our bill,  H. 2451/S. 1257, has been discharged from the Joint Committee on Public Health and is moving to the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing for their consideration.  There is still much work ahead of us, but this is very positive movement!
