On this Veteran's Day - please don't forget to remind your Active Duty family member, Retired Military, their family members, and yourselves (if applicable) that open enrollment for 2019 Tricare, Retired Dental and Vision plans has started today and ends December 10, 2018!    For other than active duty - Tricare beneficaries must choose their Tricare plan before then end of the enrollment period.  If active duty dependendents, retirees and their family members are happy with their Tricare plan (e.g. Prime or Select) need do nothing.  However, if they want to change (e.g. from Prime to Select or vice versa); this change must be done during the open enrollment period. Afterward they will be made to wait until the next open enrollment period unless they have a qualifying life event.  

Tricare Dental (TDRP) as we know it goes away December 31, 2018.  Retirees and Family members must reenroll in a dental plan through the Federal Employee Benefits Progam.  Vision plans (previously not available) are also available to enroll in as well.  See the AARP article on Tricare, Tricare Dental and Vision changes below for further information:
