Hello everyone! Many of you are aware that the Kansas NPs introduced a bill to the legislative session recently. The bill is number HB 2066, and there was a hearing in the health committee this Monday. The next important step is for the health committee to vote on the bill, which will happen before the end of the month. If passed, it will go the house representatives, then state senators. 

We are reaching out to ask all of you to get in contact with your local legislators. Every Kansas legislator needs to know a NP and why they should support this bill! Please see attachment for highlights. This bill truly improves access to care for those in the sunflower state. You can send a simple email, a facebook post, or tweet. Every contact counts, especially if your legislators are on the health committee.

Visit the Kansas Legislature to see who the members of the health committee are. On the left site of the page, you will also see a search box to "find your legislator." It will show you your district, house rep, and state senator. Thank you for your help in these efforts! It is an exciting time for NPs in Kansas.
