A petition was created at SignOn.org to The New York State Assembly, The New York State Senate, and Governor Andrew Cuomo which says:

"Pass the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act (A4846-2013/S. 4611-2013) in New York State, that will eliminate the requirement for the written collaborative agreement between a nurse practitioner and physician."
