NP Leadership, Advocacy Forum and Capitol Hill Day - 2019

The Orange County NAPNAP Chapter

On Monday, November 4, over 50 PNPs representing 23 states visited legislative offices on Capitol Hill to promote health policy on vaccines, tobacco/vaping, health care of immigrant children in custody and re-funding nursing education.  Thank you tothe OC Chapter and National for helping to sponsor my participation in this incredible experience.  My team of California PNPs met with legislative staff members from OC District 45 Representative Katie Porter, LA Representative Karen Bass, San Diego Representative Scott Peters and both of our Senators,  Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein.  We were pleased to be able to briefly meet Senator Feinstein and have a photo op!

If you were not able to attend, you still have an opportunity to advocate for these important issues by participating in NAPNAP's Virtual Capitol Hill Day through the end of this week by going to the advocacy center: https://www.napnap.org/advocacy-center

Looking forward to seeing many of you at our meeting Wedneday, November 6 at CHOC, 6:30pm.  Please be sure to have registered at ocnapnap.com

Thank you for all you do for our children and families,

Judi Leonard
OC NAPNAP President
