Healthcare Bill with FPA Language Awaits Review and Action by Governor Baker

On December 23, 2020 the Massachusetts Senate and House passed their compromise healthcare reform bill, An Act Promoting a Resilient Health Care System That Puts Patients Firstthat contains language for independent practice authority for Nurse Practitioners in Massachusetts after a 2 -year period of supervised practice by either an MD or NP with independent practice authority. 

The bill has been sent to Governor Baker who must sign the bill into law before the end of the legislative session on 01/05/2021.
