Continue to Support HB1258

Arkansas
The Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association

Despite conversation with AANP, they decided they cannot support Arkansas's path to remove collaborative practice agreement from HB1258.  If you are an AANP member, you will receive an email from them this evening.  Remember ANPA negotiated compromises to this bill because SB186 will not be running this session.

AANP's concern is the creation of the credentialing committee outside of the Board of Nursing.  Although, this is is not the national standard, it is the best path for FPA this session for Arkansas.  Opposing HB1258 will potentially harm the relationships forged through this experience.

Each state is unique, we know how tough it is to get nursing legislation by the opposition.  ANPA worked tirelessly for the past six years and spent countless hours working with legislators, stakeholders, lobbyists, various legislative nursing champions, and colleagues to get to this compromise.  It is not the path we would have chosen or would have paved for ourselves, but never the less it is a path.

We humbly ask APRNs in Arkansas to please SUPPORT HB1258 or remain neutral.  Before you reach out to your legislators, please reach out to us via legislation@anpassociation.org
